Hong Kong, China not banned in port infrastructure

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) The Government today clarified that it has not banned companies from Hong Kong and China from investing in port infrastructure in the country.

Attention of the Department of Shipping has been drawn to the news item appearing in a section of the media that the Government has decided to ban companies from Hong Kong, China among others from investing in port infrastructure projects in the country.

''In this connection, it is clarified that no such instructions have been issued by the Government in this regard,'' a Shipping Ministry release said.
