Ahmedabad recovers from blast impact
Ahmedabad, Jul 28 (UNI) Ahmedabad city was today gradually limping back to normalcy after the fear psychosis caused by the serial bomb blasts on Saturday, that have so far left 49 dead and over a hundred injured.
Yesterday's flag march by the Army in the communally sensitive areas of the walled city had given confidence of safety and security to the common citizen as offices, banks, commerce and trade establishments, educational institutes and pre-primary schools functioned normally this morning.
The visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to the city has also given sense of security and safety to the common people, including victims and their relatives.
Similarly, yesterday's visit of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha L K Advani and formation of a three member Co-ordination Committee by Chief Minister Narendra Modi has also given sense of 'Care' being taken by administration' towards the blast victims and their relatives.
Besides Ahmedabad city, security has been tightened in three other major cities -- Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot -- with intensified patrolling by the law enforcement agencies.
