Terrorists emboldened by Centre's soft attitude: Rajnath
New Delhi, Jul 26 (UNI) Condemning the serial blasts in Ahmedabad, BJP President Rajnath Singh today said the soft attitude of the Centre in dealing with terror and perpetrators had emboldened the terrorist elements to carry out attacks at their will.
In a statement, Mr Singh said during the last four years nearly 5000 sleeper modules had come embedded in almost all parts of the country and there was very little effort from the Government to destroy these because of antagonising the vote banks.
Repealing of POTA was one of the first tasks of the UPA government without any alternative law to substitute. The Government not only repealed an existing anti-terror law but was not allowing the states to pass anti-terror legislations thereby hampering actions by the states also. ''Terrorism is an absolute evil and before it there can only be one response: absolute determination, without doubts or hesitation.'' ''The blasts, he said had shown how unsafe the life was for the common man and all parties in the country should join hands to formulate an integrated Action plan to deal with this deadly evil,'' he added.
