Over 200 Indian companies to exhibit at Singapore fair
Singapore, Jul 26 (UNI) Over 200 companies from India are scheduled to attend the annual 'Salaam India Expo', which is being held here from August 13 to 17, 2008.
The expo, a second edition after one held last year, will have representatives from Indian industries including Handicrafts, Agro and Food, Medical Tourism, Education, Property and investment, Jewelry, Tourism and Consumer goods.
The expo, organised by Chennai-based ZAK Trade Fairs and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, is supported by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations.
''Singapore is an important location for India to boost its trade in the region. People to people contact and exposure to products and services along with arts and crafts is an important part of Indo-ASEAN business process. Events like Salaam India Expo, 2008 is an important step in that direction,'' Indian High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr S Jaishankar said at a curtain raiser press conference held here this week.
