One killed, ten injured in road accidents in Bengal

Kolkata, Jul 26 (UNI) A person was killed and ten others injured in separate road accidents in West Bengal today.

Police said Raju Shaw was killed and six of his family members were injured when their car collided with a stationary vehicle at Punjab More on National Highway 2 in Ranigunj.

All of them, residents of Metiabruz, were returning from pilgrimage in Deogarh.

In another incident in north Kolkata, four pedestrians were seriously injured when a taxi took a sudden U-turn to avoid collision with a private vehicle and hit them.

Local people agitated over the incident and damaged two cars by pelting stones.

Police have arrested both the drivers.
