Mass marriage performed in Kerala
Kannur, July 26 (UNI) A mass marriage of 30 couples, including two Hindu couples, was performed today as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Baharin Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (BKMCC).
The ceremony was held at Thalassery Sangamam auditorium here this evening.
The BKMCC has given five soverigns of gold and dress materials to all couples from the selected poor families in the six districts of north Kerala. It also arranged a marriage feast to all relatives of the 60 families of the married couples and to locals.
The BKMCC also decided to organise an year-long social service programmes as part of the anniversary celebration in Bahrin and Kerala, officebearers said.
