Elephants causes damage at estate in Karnataka

Madikeri, Jul 26 (UNI) A herd of elephants camping in Margov estate at Siddapur for the last two days caused considerable damage in the estate in this district.

Talking to newspersons here, the estate owner said the elephants had rampaged coffee and other crop growing plants and had incurred a huge loss to his estate. A tusker has damaged the gates and brought the fence to ground level last night, he added.

The staff members of the estate were scared, as the incident took place, adjacent to their residences.
