1.60 lakh claim for forest land in MP
{image-madhya pradesh_26072008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Bhopal, Jul 26: More than 1.60 lakh forest dwellers and tribals in Madhya Pradesh have so far filed their claim for allotment of title deeds of land in their possession under the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act 2006 and Rule-2008.
The state government has chalked out a time-bound action plan for effective implementation of the scheme vis-a-vis filing of claims, survey and claim verification, official sources said. As many as 33,068 claims have been received in Bhopal division, 6428 in Hoshangabad, 21910 in Indore, 2593 in Ujjain, 1953 in Chambal, 31467 in Gwalior, 3442 in Sagar, 20236 in Jabalpur and 38,981 in Rewa division.
