Horse-trading leads to democracy's funeral: Jha

Ujjain, MP, July 23 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party MP and Secretary Prabhat Jha today dubbed horse-trading issue raised in Parliament during yesterday's trust vote as 'the funeral of democracy'.

''United Progressive Alliance government has shamed the country's politics through a cash-for-vote scam to garner majority in the trust vote,'' Mr Jha told mediapersons here.

He said that this shatters the trust of common people.

''BJP MPs are honest towards the public and the way they flaunted cash in parliament cleared that how opposition parties wanted to purchase them and the public's trust,'' he said.

Mr Jha said that a high-level probe into the matter must be carried out.

''Tickets will not be given to the candidates, whose images are tainted in public, and those who come up to the party's expectation will be provided tickets in the coming assembly polls,'' he added.
