Militants made abortive bid to blow up police station in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 21 (UNI) Militants made an abortive bid to blow up the police station in south Kashmir when they hurled a hand grenade towards the building, official sources said today.

They said a grenade was lobbed by militants from a distance towards the police station building at Dangiwacha last night.

However, it missed the intended target and exploded outside the police station premises without causing any damage.

Militants later managed to escape before the police guards could retaliate.
