Major fire at multi-storey building in Lower Parel

Mumbai, Jul 18 (UNI) A major fire broke out at a multi-storey building at Lower Parel here today.

According to fire brigade sources, the fire broke out at around 0850 hours at the Peninsula building, which accommodates offices of several business houses.

Eight fire fighters, seven tankers and an ambulance were pressed into service to extinguish the fire. The blaze is yet to be brought under control, sources said.

However, no casualty has been reported so far. The cause of the fire and total damage is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
