Rs 7.5 lakh looted from PNB branch in Haryana
Bhiwani, Jul 17 (UNI) Four armed youths looted Rs 7.51 lakh from the Punjab National Bank at Berala under Charkhi Dadri sub division of this district today.
Police said the youths, who came on a motorcycle, forced the bank employees to stand in a corner and entered the cashier's cabin. They picked up Rs 4 lakh from the cashier's box and Rs 3.51 lakh kept in the cabin. They put the entire cash of Rs 7.51 lakh in a bag they had brought along with themselves and sped away on the motorcycle.
Bank officials then informed the police which immediately set up checkposts around the village but the looters had managed to escape in the meantime, they said.
Police parties had been rushed to various directions to track down the culprits, they added.
