Deputy Tahsildar, senior assistant in ACB net

Hyderabad, July 14 (UNI)ACB officials today arrested Khammam Rural Superintendent-cum-Deputy Tahsildar and Senior Assistant in the office of Tahsildar for accepting a bribe of Rs 500 for doing an official favour.

The Deputy Tahsildar Poosa Sambasiva Rao was caught redhanded by the officials when he accepted the bribe money through the Senior Assistant Gujjeru Manohar from the complainant for issuing an ownership certificate for 20 guntas of land for erection of Idea Cellular Company Tower, a press release here said.

The amount was recovered from the almirah of Gujjeru Manohar at his instance. The accused will be produced before Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases in Hyderabad.
