K'taka: CM condoles death of freedom fighter
Bangalore, Jul 14: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has condoled the demise of Freedom Fighter Sangana Basavaiah Hiremath who had passed away in Gulbarga District yesterday.
In his condolence message here today, Mr Yeddyurappa said with the death of Mr Hiremath, the state had lost a person who had fought for the independence of the country and the people.
The 105-year-old Hiremath from Jewargi Taluk in Gulbarga District passed away yesterday.
He had participated in the freedom struggle against the Nizam's Rule in Hyderabad state.
