Sangharsh Samiti call for Jammu bandh on July 16

Jammu, July 12 (UNI) Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti has called for one-day Jammu bandh on July 16, as seven days ultimatum to the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra to hand over land back to the Shrine Board is expiring on July 15.

''All the constituents from different districts of Jammu region have unanimously decided to give bandh call for July 16,'' Leela Karan Sharma, convenor Sangarsh Samiti, said here today and also appealed the people to observe complete shutdown in support of two demands -- removal of the Governor, N N Vohra and restoration of 800 kanals of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB).

However, the agitation against revocation of land transferred to SASB started on June 30 when complete bandh was observed across Jammu region amidst massive protests.
