Three HUJI ultras confess killing of BRO men in Kishtwar,J

Jammu, July 11 (UNI) Three Harkat-ul-Jehad Islami (HUJI) arrested by security forces have confessed killing five BRO personnel on June 13, including Lt Col Ajay Verma, at Watsar in the Kishtwar district, sources said here today.

In a joint interrogation by the police and the Army, three out of seven arrested HUJI ultras admitted their involvement in the killing of GREF personnel, the sources told UNI.

''The militants were nabbed by the troops of 11 Rashtriya Rifles from Kishtwar district who handed them over to the police,'' sources said, adding, ''Five militants were apprehended by the Army while two others laid down their arms before security forces late night on July 9.'' Meanwhile, one of the HUJI militants surrendered before 11 RR last night in Kishtwar district, sources said adding, ''The ultra has been identified as Yaqoob and was active in Kishtwar district.''
