AP Govt spending crores on publicity: TDP

Hyderabad, July 11 (UNI) Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Leader M V Mysoora Reddy today alleged the State Government was spending crores of rupees on publicity instead of welfare schemes and projects.

Addressing the press here, Mr Reddy claimed the government had spent Rs 500 crore for print media advertisements in the last five years and was spending Rs 1,000 crore annually on publicity.

He alleged the government was showing more interest in publicity than in welfare schemes and projects.

Besides, the government was giving more advertisements to a newspaper run by the Chief Minister's son, Mr Reddy claimed.
