Aarushi murder: No evidence against Dr Talwar, CBI tells court

New Delhi, Jul 11 (UNI) The CBI today said it had so far not been able to collect evidence against Dr Rajesh Talwar, linking him to the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case of Noida.

Officially revealing for the first time, the sequence of events that led to the May 16 murder, CBI Joint Director and main investigating officer of the double murder case Arun Kumar told newspersons at the agency headquarters here that even the case diaries of the Noida Police had nothing against Dr Talwar, the father of the teenaged girl.

The CBI today also informed a Ghaziabad court of its investigations and handed over the case diaries of the Noida Police.

It also requested them to take a decision on the CBI custody of the dentist.

Claiming that all forensic evidence pointed to the involvement of Dr Talwar's compounder Krishna, he said Rajkumar -- the domestic help of Talwar's family friends Duranis -- and another person Vijay Mandal, had apparently tried to rape Aarushi under the influence of liquor.

Dr Talwar's domestic help Hemraj was killed as he resisted attempts to sexually assault Aarushi.
