Police personnel, 2 militants killed, one injured in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jul 10 (UNI) Two militants and a constable of Jammu and Kashmir police were killed and one person was injured in the Kashmir valley overnight, an official spokesman said.
He said militants hurled a grenade on a police party of police station Kralgund at Supar Naghama when the party was returning after Naka duty.
Two personnel were injured critically, they said, adding one of them, Mohammad Irfan, later died.
He said two militants were killed by the security forces at Kupwara in north Kashmir during a search operation. The militants were identified as Mohammad Amin alias Abu Vikas a local resident and Abu Unas, a Pakistan resident. Two AK 47 rifles, two AK 56 rifles, fourteen AK magazines, 429 rounds of ammunition, one UBGL, five UBGL grenades, one wireless set, ten radio antennas, one GPS, one Compass, one Mini Tape recorder, six Audio cassettes and one mobile charger were recovered from the slain militants.
Abdul Majid Dar was injured when an unexploded shell exploded at Tosamaidan in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.
