NCP plea to Pondy Govt on quota in private pro colleges

Puducherry, Jul 9 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) here today urged the territorial administration to take immediate steps to provide 65 per cent seats in private medical and engineering colleges for government quota.

In a statement, NCP State President G Sundaramurty said there should not be any discussions with representatives of the colleges.

Instead, the government should issue an order in this regard.

Action should be taken against those colleges which failed to comply with the GO, he added.

He also warned of an agitation by mobilising students on the issue.
