LF to organise protest rallies over Nuke Deal and inflation issue

Kolkata, Jul 8 (UNI) Flaying the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for ''trying to divert the people's attention from the price hike and inflation to the Indo-US Nuclear deal'', the Left Front in West Bengal today announced to launch several agitational programmes against the Centre's ''anti-people policies''.

''We will organise rallies and protest meetings on July 26 and 31 as well as demonstrations and agitational programmes in all the districts from August 11. A mass convention will also be held on August 31 at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here,'' LF chairman Biman Bose told newspersons after the Front meeting here.

He said all the four Left parties will also gather for a meeting at New Delhi on July 14.

''All the Left parties will remain united and strengthen the Front's solidarity,'' he added.
