Attack on Indian Embassy in Kabul unacceptable: EU

New Delhi, July 8 (UNI) Condemning the ''dreadful'' bomb attack on the Indian Embassy in Kabul, the Presidency of the Council of the European Union today said such a directed action against the diplomatic representation of a State was unacceptable.

France, which holds the Presidency, also expressed solidarity with the Indian authorities and reiterated to the Afghan authorities its determined resolve to fight terrorism, a statement said.

About 40 people lost their lives and 100 were injured in the attack yesterday.
