Two teenagers drown in canal in Punjab

Ferozpur, Jul 7 (UNI) Two teenagers drowned while taking a swim in a canal near Barake village on the Ferozpur-Hussainiwala road yesterday evening, police reports today stated.

According to police reports, five teenagers of Barake were having a swim in the canal when the water level increased all of a sudden.

All the five were swept away but a couple of alert villagers who were taking a stroll along the canal managed to save three of them.

However Monu (18) and Rajiv (14) could not be saved and their bodies were fished out today when the water receded in the canal.
