Elango Industries pumps Rs 415 cr for setting up 80 MW power plant

New Delhi, Jul 4 (UNI) Elango Industries Ltd, leading medium and small steel manufacturer, today said it plans to set up an 80 MW coal-based thermal power plant at Gummudipoondi near Chennai with an investment of Rs 415 crore.

The project is expected to achieve the financial closure before December this year.

Through SPV-- Kaveri Gas Power Ltd, the company has successfully commissioned its seven mega watt natural gas-based power plant at Mayiladuthurai in Tamil Nadu, the company said in a statement.
