Bollywood stars grace the premiere of film "Jaane tu... Ya Jaane Na"
Mumbai, July 4 : Top Bollywood stars graced the premiere of 'Aamir Khan Productions' latest film - 'Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na' in Mumbai on Thursday, which is a teen-comedy love story that marks the debut of actor Aamir Khan's nephew Imran Khan.
The premiere of the film witnessed who is who of the Bollywood film fraternity. Apart from the cast and crew of the film, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, actress Sridevi, Salman Khan and renowned directors Ramesh Sippy, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra, Kunal Kohli, and Farhan Akhtar also graced the occasion.
After delivering super hits like 'Lagaan' and 'Taare Zameen Par', Aamir Khan Production's latest venture, "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane na" has been aggressively promoted by the production house.
Aamir Khan, Bollywood actor and director is keeping his fingers crossed for the debut film of his nephew Imran Khan.
"Well I am very happy the way things have turned out. I am hoping for the best," said Aamir Khan.
Amitabh Bachchan who was also present to bid good luck to the lead actors, said, "They are very good. I wish him well. We have come here to expect good things."
The film, a directorial debut of Abbas Tyrewallah, focuses on teenage love, with equally young background score given by maverick music director A.R Rehman.
"At this stage of my musical career, it's good to go back to young kind of stuff and capture the next generation," said Rehman.
The flick sees newcomer Imran Khan and Genelia D'souza, who has taken plunge in lead role in Bollywood after experiencing south Indian film industry, in pivotal roles.
The narrative set in current milieu revolves around a group of friends, while focusing on two best buddies who are in love but are in state of denial. As the narrative continues, duo realizes the love for each other amid friendly tit bits and emotional moments.
Aamir Khan and Naseeruddin Shah would also be seen doing cameos in the film.
Imran khan appeared all excited but also nervous for his first film, which will also lay path for his entry in Bollywood.
"I am quite excited. There are lots of people here. Its something very nice," said Imran Khan.
The flick is releasing with 473 prints worldwide, which includes 282 analog prints, 81 digital screens and 110 prints overseas.
It is set to release in theaters on Friday
