SP rules out Muslims exodus from the party
Lucknow, Jul 2 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party today ruled out exodus of Muslim from the party over the nuclear deal claiming that Muslims were with them and would continue their support in future.
''Ms Mayawati has lost her mental balance, thus making such comments that nuclear deal was anti-muslim,'' said SP state's working president Shivpal Singh Yadav here.
Talking to mediapersons, Mr Yadav alleged that the entire state was under the control of criminals and rapist ministers of the BSP government and Ms Mayawati was heading it.
''We don't have to prove our credentials for our secular character rather than Mayawati should clarify her hob nobbing with the BJP after she made government in the state thrice with the support of the communal party,'' he said.
''Muslims do not believe on the words of the Mayawati after they had seen her campaigning for Narendra Modi in Gujarat elections,'' he further alleged.
Mr Yadav said the law and order situation in the state had worsen as now not only the police stations, but the tehsil and districts were being sold by the government. ''Rampant transfers of IAS/IPS and other officials proves that the BSP government was earning money through these transfers,'' he charged.
Meanwhile, the SP state working president said the party would hold demonstration in the state capital tomorrow to protest against illegal acquirement of the Sahadra mosque on the Mohona road by the state government.
''How could the government acquire a mosque for constructing a disabled university,'' he said with warning that the SP would not allow the government to do so.
The government was acquiring about 27 bigha of land of the mosque for construction of a disabled university in the state capital and several Muslim organisations were opposing the move.
