Lawyers stayaway from courts

Puducherry, Jul 2 (UNI) Functioning of all courts in Puducherry was affected today as the lawyers boycotted court proceedings.

The agitation was to protest against permitting who had not registered with the Bar Council, to take the examination to select civil court judges conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

The boycott would continue till July 4, Bar association sources said.
