People celebrate cancellation of land to SASB in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 1 (UNI) People in the Kashmir valley this evening celebrated the cancellation of order by which land was diverted to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) for construction of prefabricated structures for Amarnath pilgrims.

As the Action Committee Against Land Transfer (ACALT) announced that the cabinet order issued this afternoon said that land to SASB has been cancelled, people at different localities took to streets, celebrating it.

At Maisuma and nearby localities, people burst crackers and raised pro-freedom slogans.

Reports of similar celebrations were also received from other parts of the valley.
