Revoke land transfer order to SASB, Targami to J

Srinagar, Jun 30 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (M) today urged Jammu and Kashmir government to immediately cancel the land transfer order to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) without any further delay.

In a statement here this afternoon, State Secretary of the CPI(M) Mohammad Yousuf Targami said with the announcement of the withdrawal of the claim by the SASB, the land transfer order of the state cabinet ceased to be valid.

However, he said a delay in formally revoking order by the state cabinet has created a avoidable uncertainty among people.

Already many precious lives have been lost, besides causing damage to the property and paralysing the normal life, Mr Targami said adding any further delay informally revoking this order is bound to create suspicions and will help only those who want to use this unfortunate situation for their narrow ends. Appealing to people of the state to remain calm and uphold the age old traditions of brotherhood, he came down heavily on communal forces especially BJP, who are bent upon volatising the situation for divisive politics.

He cautioned the people not to fall prey to the nefarious designs of such forces.
