JSW steel to open its showrooms across the country
Bangalore, Jun 30: JSW steels, second largest steel producers in private sector, in an novel marketing initiative in the Steel industry, has decided to opend its branded showrooms for its varied steel products across the country by investing over Rs 75 crores. Addressing newspersons here today company's CEO and Joint Managing Director, Y S S Rao said that JSW Steels, had decided to set up its exclusive steel retail outlet across the country and would have 50 such branded show rooms this year and another 550 in next two years.
He said that the JSW Shoppe, first of its kind outlet directly being set up by any steel producer, would have on display and sale of all the products of JSW Steel ranging from hot rolled to colour coated steels along with long products.
He said that the branded outlet, was aimed at to provide an unique experience of buying steel products through a branded distribution channel. "The concept of the Shoppe originates from the fact that we want customers to get the right quality of products at the right price and at the right place. Shoppe is an effort to create a customer friendly ambiance" he said.
Mr Rao said that the objective behind go for exclusive outlets are among others including to create customer friendly ambiance, easy availability of steel, increase in per capita consumption and educate the end user about the installation and right application of its steel products.
He said that the exclusive company showrooms also offer benefits to customers in ensuring value for money, assured product quality, right price and display of all steel products under one roof.
Replying to questions Mr Rao said that the company was investing about Rs 10 to 12 lakh per outlet and for the current year over 50 branded showrooms would be started and subsequently would have a pan-India presence with over 600 branded outlets, he said.
