Health camp organised at Dhanas village

Chandigarh, June 29 (UNI) Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch in collaboration with Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector 16 organized a Health-cum-awareness camp at Government Senior Secondary School, Dhanas today.

UT Home-cum-Finance Secretary, Mr Sanjay Kumar inaugurated the camp.

Mr Kumar took a round of the camp and presented a tricycle to an unemployed handicapped. He also distributed sewing machines to the needy women for earning their own livelihood and becoming self sufficient. About 400 patients were examined at this camp and free medicines were distributed to them.

UT Deputy Commissioner, Mr R K Rao, SDM (E)-cum-Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, UT Branch, officers of Red Cross, members of Managing Body of Red Cross, Principal and teachers of GSSS, Dhanas were also present on the occasion.
