BJP in Pondy stage 'rail roko' demanding dismissal of Cong Govt
Puducherry, Jun 29 (UNI) As many as 64 BJP volunteers, along with National Council member Swaminathan and party Youth Wing leader Balu, were arrested when they organised 'rail roko,' demanding the dismissal of the Congress Government in Puducherry today.
Alleging that the law and order situation had deteriorated and the administration had come to a standstill, following a ''tussle'' between Chief Minister N Rangasamy and the ministers, the party demanded that the President intervene in the matter.
The volunteers were arrested when thay entered the railway station and squatted in front of the Puducherry-Villuppuram shuttle.
