Seven NSCN(IM) and NSCN/GPRN cadres killed in Nagaland
Dimapur, Jun 26 (UNI) At least seven NSCN(IM) and NSCN/GPRN activists were today killed in a fierce clash when the former swooped down on the Vihokhu camp of the NSCN/GPRN (Unification).
The camp was situated about 25 km away from here under the Niuland Sub-division of Dimapur district.
Official sources here said the incident occurred when the NSCN(IM) ultras went on a rampage, running over the camp and torching altogether 47 vehicles and several thatched houses.
After the incident, all the NSCN/GPRN cadres fled the camp.
The district administration officials along with a posse of police force and security forces entered the Vihokhu camp this afternoon and recovered seven dead bodies.
Out of seven deceased, two belonged to the NSCN(IM), while the rest were of the NSCN/GPRN.
One NSCN/GPRN activist was also injured and he was rushed to hospital at Dimapur.
The Vihokhu camp was supposed to be shifted to Khehoi under Niuland sub-division as per decision of the recent Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) meeting at Dimapur, but it was run over before shifting.
