Pete Doherty and Carl Barat contemplating Libertines reunion
London, Jun 24 : It looks like English indie rock band the Libertines might get back together, after the recent successful song-writing sessions of Pete Doherty and Carl Barat.
The two ex-Libertines band mates have been writing tracks for a musical, which is set to debut at London's Donmar Warehouse early next year, and they have been so successful with it that they have thought about recording together again.
Even with Barat being rushed to hospital last week with pancreatitis, the two still think that they have captured back the old magic. "Songs have been pouring out and they're considering holding back a few compositions to record and maybe release in the future," the Sun quoted a source as saying.
Barat's current band, 'Dirty Pretty Things', will be releasing their second album 'Romance At Short Notice' at the end of the month and will be tied up promoting it and touring for about a year.
But a reunion of the Libertines has still not been ruled out, and it will be a good thing, as Doherty's band Babyshambles seems to be falling apart.
