Bangladesh President Iajuddin hospitalised
Dhaka, Jun 23 (UNI) Bangladesh President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital(CMH) tonight.
Secretary to the President Office, Sirajul Islam said the President had been suffering from viral fever.
Earlier in the day, the President put off his schedules including a fair well, call on by outgoing Canadian High Commissioner Ms Barbara Richardson.
Dr Ahmed, presently in his mid-70s, had open heart surgery in Singapore Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 2006.
The CMH sources said the President had been admitted to the hospital for medical check-up.
