Pak to consult Kashmiri leaders before next dialogue round:Qureshi
Islamabad, Jun 23 (UNI) Pakistan will consult leaderships from both sides of Kashmir before starting the next round of talks with India by this month end.
Local media today quoted Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi as saying he had invited leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to Pakistan to exchange views with them on the Kashmir issue.
APHC Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Kashmiri leaders are currently visiting Pakistan for talks with top leadership on the issue.
The Foreign Minister, while appreciating the unity among the Kashmiri leadership under the banner of the APHC, said it would be a good omen to promote the cause of Kashmiris in a better and effective way.
He said OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanogulu and other members of the OIC contact group on Kashmir appreciated and supported the dialogue process between Pakistan and India.
For the first time, the Kashmir issue has been included in the Campala Declaration issued following the meeting of the Foreign Ministers and Pakistan's efforts in this regard were highly appreciated, he added.
