Indo-US nuclear deal a threat to national sovereignty: AIFB Secy
New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) The National Secretary of the All India Forward Bloc G Devarajan today said the proposed Indo-US nuclear deal is a threat to the country's sovereignty and violation of the Common Minimum Programme of the UPA Government at the Centre.
Addressing party workers at the AIFB headquarters on the occasion of its 69th foundation day, Mr Devarajan said, ''The proposed deal is also against the time tested independent foreign policy of our country. Therefore, it is the duty of all patriotic people of the country to oppose it.'' On the occasion, the party flag was hoisted at the headquarters by senior Central committee member and chairman of All India Forward Bloc, Delhi State Committee D N Jha.
Earlier, the leaders paid floral tributes to Late Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
