Police searches for man who killed his wife, brother-in-law

Panaji, Jun 21 (UNI) Police have launched a man hunt for a fenny distiller, who had allegedly shot dead his wife, suspecting her character and brother-in-law on mistaken identity, at Sanguem recently.

Manuel Rodrigues (54) killed his young wife Carmelina and later brother-in-law Mathew, mistaking him to be her sister Maria on Thursday last and fled the scene.

Rodrigues is said to have harbouring against Maria for lodging a police complaint against him two months ago for attempting to kill Carmelina because he suspected her character, when she was caught red-handed with another man.
