Magisterial inquiry into dacoit's death
Morena (MP), June 19 (UNI) A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the killing of dacoit Kalla Sikarwar, alias Vikas, in an encounter with the police in Pahargarh area of this district on June 13 as the Kshatria Mahasabha and Congress termed it as 'murder'.
Additional Collector Upendra Nath Sharma, the inquiry officer, has been asked to submit the report within a month, official sources said today, adding that the reasons and circumstances of the encounter would be probed.
District Collector Ramkinkar Gupta ordered the magisterial inquiry on the request of Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh.
Dacoit Vikas carried a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head.
Former chief minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh also condemned the 'fake encounter' and sought an inquiry into it.
