CBI prononunces quantum of punishment to 15 fodder scam accused
Ranchi, Jun 19 (UNI) A CBI court today awarded three to seven years of rigorous imprisonment to the 15 accused in one of the cases of the multi-crore fodder scam.
CBI special Judge Sanjay Prasad gave the verdict in which, he imposed fines ranging from Rs five lakh to Rs 50,000 on the accused, who were all suppliers.
They were involved in illegal withdrawal of nearly Rs 1.46 crore from Dumka treasury during late 1990s.
The Court will pronounce quantum of punishment for the rest of 15 accused in the same case tomorrow among whom former commissioner of Santhal Pargana S N Dubey was a high profile convict.
