Heavy rains disrupt life in Patna
Patna,Jun 18 (UNI) Life was paralysed in the state capital following heavy rains since the past several days.
The heavy downpour that began last week continued today also throwing life out of gear in the state capital as roads and lanes in low lying areas like Srikrishna Nagar, Chandamari Road, Postal Park, Kankarbagh, Rajendra Nagar, Hanuman Nagar and Gardanibagh were under knee-deep water.
The water of choked drains also entered the houses of the low-lying areas in the city and several people were seen taking shelter on their roofs.
The city has recorded 27.4 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours.
Met officials said the maximum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 25.9 degrees.
Met officials predicted cloudy sky with the possibility of rain or thundershower in some areas and heavy downpour in afew of them during the next 24 hrs.
