Kamat releases book on one-year achievements of Goa Govt
Panaji, Jun 16 (UNI) Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat today reiterated his government's resolve and committment ''to serving the people with a vision and direction to empower and uplift the common man and make the state a land of opportunity for future generations''.
Dedicating a 208-page book, featuring the achievements on completition of one year of his government since June 8, 2007, he aid ''the book talks about our aspirations and steps to make it happen.'' ''Our vision to give that hope to the common man and deliver up on our promises is reflected in this book. I hope the people of Goa will come together to make our state the real example of a modern yet peaceful and ever-growing state with enthusiastic and hard working people,'' he said in his foreword.
Earlier, he released the book in presence of his cabinet colleagues, besides chief secretary J P Singh and Information and Publicity director Nikhil Dessai. The book had profiled progress of each ministry.
