Four die and six injured in rain and thunder, landslip in Darjeelin

Siliguri, Jun 14 (UNI) Four people including two females were killed and six injured and landslip occurred at NH 55 in Darjeeling as rain pounded across North Bengal this evening, official sources said.

Traffic on NH 55 leading to Dareeling was affected as a landslide triggered by heavy rain breached a portion of road at Sepaidhura, above Kurseong town, SDO Debashis Das said.

In Malda three people including two women were killed when lightning struck them this evening. Four people were also received burn injuring in the rains and lightnings in Malda's Harishachandrapur, Manikchawk, and Sujapur.

Two people were injured when lighting struck them in South Dinajpur.

A person was killed at Coochbehar town when lightinging struck him.
