Sinha dedicates hostel to Gujjar, Bakkarwal community in Reasi
Jammu, Jun 12 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (retd) S K Sinha today dedicated a two-storeyed hostel to Gujjar and Bakkarwal children in Talwara area of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
''The two-storeyed pir panjal hostel building will accommodate 50 children of Gujjars and Bakkarwals hailing from remote areas of bordering Rajouri, Ramban and Reasi districts,'' an official spokesman here said.
The foundation stone of the hostel was laid on January 10, which was constructed under ''operation Sadbhavana'' by counter insurgency force (uniform).
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Sinha lauded the efforts of army and civil administration for ushering in an era of peace and development in this remote belt.
