Lucknow, Jun 12 (UNI) Snapping back to National Scheduled Caste Commission chairman Buta Singh, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today advised him to devote more time towards those states, where incidents of Sceduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) harrassment were soaring.

''Dr Singh's visit to UP is ''unnecessary'' as the state government has already taken action in the cases, which he and his team has come to examine,'' Ms Mayawati said over Dr Singh's Allahabad trip.

By doing this, Mr Singh was avoiding the incidents that were being held outside the state and needed more attention by the commission,'' she added.

The district government was fully sensitive and alert for the incidents of SC/ST harrassment, she said claiming that wherever such types of incidents came to light the government assurred effective action.

''Therefore, I suggest the National Scheduled Caste Commission chairman not to waste his time unnecessarily in UP,'' the CM maintained.
