Paswan to perform 'bhoomi poojan' of steel plant on June 13

Ujjain, MP, June 11 (UNI) Union Chemical Fertiliser and Steel Minister Ramvilas Paswan would perform 'bhoomi poojan' on June 13 for construction work of steel processing unit to be established by Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in this district's Bandka industrial area.

SAIL Assistant General Manager (Bhilai) M V B Reddy told reporters here today that Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would be chief guest on the occasion.

The steel processing unit -- to be built at a cost of Rs 88 crore -- would be completed within 18 months. The plant would produce one lakh tonne TMT rods every year.

Union Minister of State for Steel Jitin Prasad, former Union Minister Satyanarain Jatia and SAIL Chairman S K Rungta would be present on the occasion.
