Ashok Leyland MD bags 'Star of Italian Solidariety' award

New Delhi, Jun 9 (UNI) Hinduja Group flagship firm Ashok Leyland Managing Director R Seshasayee has been conferred the Star of Italian Solidariety' award by the Italian government.

The Managing Director was awarded for his contribution towards strengthening economic and social relations between the European country and India, a company statement said.

''The prestigious decoration--Ordine di Stella Della Solidarieta' Italiana (Star of Italian Solidariety)--is an honour conferred upon people whose work has contributed in strengthening economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Italy and other countries,'' it added.

Mr Seshasayee is also the the Executive Vice Chairman of Hinduja Automotive Ltd and the Non-Executive Chairman of IndusInd Bank.
