Rains in several parts of Vidarbha
Nagpur, June 7 (UNI) Pre-monsoon showers lashed several parts of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra overnight.
Nagpur recorded 1.7 mm of rainfall during the 24 hours that ended at 0830 hours today, the local met Office said. Similarly, Amravati recorded 12.0 mm, Gondia 3.0, Washim 37.0, Wardha 34.4 and Yavatmal 7.8 mm of rainfall during the same period, it said.
Nagpur recorded 0.9 mm of rainfall during the 12 hours ending 1730 hrs today.
Lightning has claimed six lives in the region this season so far. These include four in Buldhana district, and one each in Amravati and Bhandara districts.
