No hike in RTC bus fares in AP : APSRTC Chairman
Hyderabad, Jun 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Chairman M Satyanarayana today said there was no proposal to increase the fares in RTC buses in the wake of the recent hike in petrol and diesel prices.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Satyanarayana said Chief Minister Y S Rajsekhara Reddy has rejected the proposal to increase bus fares and announced that there would be no change in the fares.
Earlier, the Corporation Chairman, along with RTC Managing Directer G Dinesh Reddy, met the Chief Minister at his chambers and explained about the financial burden on the RTC due to the hike in petro prices.
