Union Tourism Ministry sanctions Rs 10 crore to Arunachal
Itanagar, Jun 4 (UNI) The Union Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned Rs ten crore to Arunachal Pradesh during March this year, for setting up an Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) in the state capital.
Official sources said here today the construction of the institute will be completed within two years.
The initiative of establishing the institute has been taken up by the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and it would open more such institutes in the Northeastern region, the sources added.
All the states in the region have been sanctioned one IHM each by the Union Ministry of Tourism with a time frame of 18 months for completion of the projects.
The NCHMCT would open four institutes in the region - one each in Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, the sources said.
The construction work of the project would start soon under the supervision of technical representatives from the Tourism Ministry, the sources added.
